Simba SC have announced ticket prices ahead of their CAF Champions League match against Esperance, which will be played on Sunday, February 1, at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
Simba’s Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ali, has urged Wanasimba to purchase their tickets early to ensure a full house at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, with the aim of boosting the players’ morale in a must-win encounter against Esperance.
Speaking earlier today to Simba supporters at the Wekundu wa Kurasini Mji Mpya branch, Ahmed said the club is not ready to exit the competition at the group stage and is determined to fight in the remaining three matches.
“Our opponents Esperance will arrive tomorrow, Thursday, and the match on Sunday will be officiated by four referees from South Africa. As we prepare for this game, we have made slight adjustments to ticket prices in line with the current situation,” said Ahmed.
“There are Wanasimba who believe that if we are to progress, what we need most on that day is the fans. We have set the general stands at TSh 3,000. You all remember that our standard minimum ticket price in the Champions League is TSh 5,000, but this time we have reduced it to TSh 3,000 so that every Simba fan can come to the stadium. We want to encourage every Mwanasimba to attend,” he added.
“So, the General Stand will be TSh 3,000, VIP C is TSh 5,000, VIP B is TSh 10,000, and we believe these prices will attract a big turnout. VIP A is TSh 20,000. Platinum has been reduced from TSh 150,000 to TSh 100,000 with full services included. Tanzanite is set at TSh 150,000 only, and even before the official announcement, those tickets were already sold out,” Ahmed explained.
“To the naked eye this may seem difficult, but for Simba this is possible. We, the true Simba, those with Simba DNA, Simba since Sunderland, Simba to death and beyond. On the first, we are heading to Benjamin Mkapa Stadium. Even though they say Benjamin Mkapa is a tough ground, we are going there to ignite hope,” he said passionately.
“My brothers, on Sunday we are going to write a new chapter in African football. We slipped and lost nine points, and we now have nine points left to fight for. I am here to tell you that our focus is on those nine points. We are going to shock Africa. We will collect all the remaining nine points, starting with Esperance,” Ahmed concluded.
