It is now official that goalkeeper Moussa Camara will no longer be part of Simba’s registered squad after the Msimbazi Reds completed the signing of Niger international goalkeeper Mahamoud Tanja Kassila.
Kassila has joined Simba from AS FAN of Niger, taking the slot previously occupied by Camara, whose persistent injuries are said to have influenced the decision.
Simba head coach Steve Barker had demanded the immediate signing of a goalkeeper, stressing the importance of having a solid and reliable last line of defense.
Camara will remain a Simba player, but his name will be removed from the squad registration to make room for Kassila.
Kassila will join the club’s other goalkeepers, Yacoub Suleiman—who is also currently injured—and Hussein Abel.
