Simba head coach Steve Barker is reported to have placed significant pressure on the club’s management to ensure a goalkeeper is signed during this transfer window.
Barker has concerns over the recovery of Moussa Camara, who has been sidelined for a long period, although Camara has already started light training.
Initially, Simba planned to add a local goalkeeper, but that plan appears to have changed, with information from within the management confirming the start of a process to search for a foreign goalkeeper.
Simba may be forced to deregister Camara for now as he continues his recovery.
Rumors from various sources have linked Azam FC goalkeeper Issa Fofana as the potential replacement for Camara.
Simba have already opened talks with Azam FC, seeking to sign Fofana on loan until the end of the season.
