After being impressed by his performances in the Mapinduzi Cup, Simba are reported to have opened talks with Mbeya City over the signing of the club’s striker, Baraka Mwangosi.
Simba gave Mwangosi the opportunity to undergo trials in Zanzibar in order to fully assess his ability.
It is reported that Simba’s technical bench, led by head coach Steve Barker, has been impressed by his qualities and has requested the club’s management to ensure they secure the signature of the former Mbuni FC Championship striker.
Simba are keen to sign the striker with the aim of developing him to eventually become part of the plan to replace Suleiman Mwalimu “Gomez,” who is currently playing for Simba on loan from Morocco’s Wydad.
Mwangosi is part of the Mbeya City squad competing in the NBC Premier League this season, where he has registered one assist.
