After being announced as Simba’s new head coach, Steve Barker is in the process of finalizing his technical bench before arriving in the country to begin his duties.
Barker, who has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract, is expected to arrive alongside an assistant coach and other technical specialists.
This move could put the future of Suleiman Matola in doubt, as he has served as an assistant coach for several years whenever changes have been made to the technical bench.
Matola could be reassigned to youth team duties, with Simba also planning to send him abroad to gain further training and experience.
Barker is expected to officially begin his role on December 28 when the squad returns to training in preparation for the Mapinduzi Cup.
