Following the league’s pause to allow the upcoming Afcon 2025 tournament in Morocco, Simba’s management has granted the players a two-week break.
Simba’s Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ali, announced that the squad will resume training on December 28 to continue preparations for matches scheduled after Afcon concludes.
On January 23, 2026, Simba will play their third-round CAF Champions League match against Esperance away, before hosting the Tunisian giants a week later in Dar es Salaam.
These fixtures are crucial for Simba, as avoiding defeat will be key to keeping their hopes of reaching the Champions League quarterfinals alive.
Additionally, during the two-week break, Simba is expected to finalize the process of appointing a new head coach, who will officially begin duties on December 28.
