Simba has suffered its first defeat of the season in the NBC Premier League after a 2–0 loss to Azam FC in a match played at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
Goals from Japhet Kitambala and Idi Nado were enough to secure three points for Azam FC in a game where Simba failed to capitalize on key chances, especially in the first half.

You could say that in the final 10 minutes, fatigue began to take a toll on Simba’s players, particularly in the defensive line, which appeared to lose shape.
Azam FC were efficient with their counter-attacks, and one could argue the scoreline could have been worse.
