Simba attacking midfielder Morice Abraham continued to showcase his quality yesterday as he led Simba to a 3–0 victory over Mbeya City in the NBC Premier League match played at the Meja Jenerali Isamuhyo Stadium.
Morice scored Simba’s opening goal in the match and was later named Man of the Match after the full 90 minutes.
Speaking after the game, Morice praised his teammates for their determination and hard work throughout the match, which eventually secured the important victory.
“It was a tough match, but the important thing is that the team fought hard. We worked for the badge, and that’s a good thing for us as a team. Mbeya City gave us competition that I believe will help us prepare well for Sunday’s derby against Azam FC.”
“We have been consistently creating chances, and the important thing is that we’ll keep working on our shortcomings to ensure we make better use of those opportunities.”
“I prepared very well for this match, and I’m happy to have scored my first goal. I thank Almighty God for continuing to protect me and keeping me free from injuries.”
“The award I received will motivate me even more to continue fighting for the team badge. I congratulate my teammates for their great work today; I believe everyone deserved the award, but unfortunately only one player can receive it,” Morice said.
