The second CAF Champions League Group D match between Stade Malien and Simba has ended with the hosts claiming a 2–1 victory.
Stade Malien scored their goals early in the first half, while Simba’s only goal was netted by Neo Maema with a shot from outside the 18-yard box.
It was a match in which Simba started with high intensity and could have scored as early as the first minute, were it not for Jean Ahoua shooting wide from close range.
In the second half, Simba increased their attacking tempo with Dimitar Pantev introducing all his forwards.
However, the finishing problem persisted, with many chances wasted in front of the Malien goal.
This is Simba’s second consecutive defeat, leaving the Msimbazi Reds without a point after two matches.
Simba now have four matches remaining—two at home and two away. Their next match will be against Esperance at the end of January 2026, with the return leg set for Dar es Salaam one week later.
