Simba’s General Manager Dimitar Pantev says he has great confidence in his players ahead of their upcoming CAF Champions League (CAFCL) match against Stade Malien, scheduled for Sunday, November 30, in Mali.
Speaking earlier today as the Simba squad began their journey toward Algeria, Pantev stated that they have prepared well tactically and he remains highly optimistic about the match.
"Everything is going well; we have done tactical preparations and worked on the players’ psychological readiness, and we have big expectations heading into the match."
"We lost the previous match — that’s football. When I arrived here, I never said Simba would win every game, but I assured you we would play good football and fight for three points in every match."
"We have a good team. I know we missed many chances in the last game and conceded an easy goal, but aside from those moments, we played well."
"I have no worries about the players’ spirit or readiness for the next match. We have a team capable of competing with anyone in Africa. We are going to Mali to fight, and the most important thing is to get all three points," Pantev said.
After losing to Petro Atletico, Simba now urgently needs all three points against Stade Malien to keep their quarter-final qualification hopes alive.
