Despite returning to Mozambique after his contract with Simba was terminated, it is clear that winger Luis Miquissone is still keeping a close eye on the club from afar.
Following Simba’s 1–0 loss to Petro Atletico at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium, Miquissone sparked conversation on social media by posting a short message asking, *“Should I come back?”* His post suggested that he may have been dissatisfied with the club’s decision to release him, believing he still deserved a place in the squad.
Miquissone previously enjoyed great success with Simba before being signed by Al Ahly of Egypt, where he struggled to secure playing time. After about a season and a half, he returned to Simba, but his second stint did not meet expectations, leading to his release after just one season.
Since rejoining UD Songo, however, Miquissone has rediscovered his form, helping his team sit comfortably at the top of the league table with a 17-point gap—evidence that he has bounced back and returned to his best level.
His “Should I come back?” message has raised questions: Could Simba consider bringing him back? Will fans see him again at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium? Time will tell, but what is clear is that Miquissone’s connection to Simba remains strong.
