Simba’s Manager of Information and Communications, Ahmed Ali, today continued the fan-mobilization campaign ahead of the first Group D CAF Champions League match against Petro Atletico, which will be played on Sunday, November 23 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
After attending the launching event of the Simba Goba Branch, Ahmed had the opportunity to address the hundreds of Simba fans who turned out in large numbers for the event.
The spokesperson emphasized that every Simba fan should purchase their ticket early and ensure they attend the match at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium to support their team in this crucial opening group stage fixture.
Ahmed said it is important for Simba fans to come out in large numbers and fill the stadium, as doing so will boost the players’ morale and make the task of securing three points much easier.
“We came to speak with the Goba community about our historic event on Sunday. We have a tough match, and we need your support in the stadium so we can perform well and secure the three points to start strongly.”
“Do not underestimate Sunday’s match against our opponents from Angola. Yes, we have overcome very difficult obstacles, but if you think this one will be easy, you are mistaken. For us to win, it is essential that everyone comes to the stadium so we achieve victory together.”
“We need to start the group stage well, but we cannot do that unless everyone fulfills their responsibilities 100%. The leaders have done their part, and you, as ordinary fans, your duty is to buy tickets and come to the stadium.”

“We have every reason to boast; in the city we are the only ones left. The easiest way to come to the stadium is as a branch—buy tickets together, collect transport fare, and arrive as a group. And on Sunday, there will be no traffic because others have moved out of the city—we remain alone.”

This team is one we have loved by choice, a team we have committed to, and on that date we will give it strength against Atlético Petroleos de Luanda. We have no doubt we will progress—we progressed when we were still a small team, now we are stronger, we will progress,” Ahmed declared.
