Simba SC’s Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ali, was in Chanika, Zingiziwa today to launch fan mobilization ahead of the first CAF Champions League group-stage match against Petro Atletico, scheduled for Sunday, November 23 at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
Simba fans turned out in large numbers for the event, which took place on the outskirts of Dar es Salaam.
Ahmed urged Simba supporters to continue encouraging one another to buy tickets to ensure the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium is filled to capacity on Sunday.
“Let us continue encouraging each other so that as many Simba fans as possible come to the stadium this Sunday because of the importance of this match. Our opponent is very strong, and our greatest weapon is the fans. We know the power you bring when you fill up the Mkapa Stadium. If you come in large numbers, we will trouble Atlético Petróleos de Luanda, and that is unquestionable.”
“Every Simba fan must buy a ticket and come to the stadium. If someone has never been to the stadium before, this should be their first outing. On Sunday, November 23, let us come to the stadium—and make sure we are wearing this season’s jerseys.”
“The mobilization has officially been launched here in Zingiziwa. I take this opportunity to welcome you all to the stadium on Sunday. Despite the difficulty of this match, I assure you that, God willing, we will leave with a victory,” Ahmed said.
