As he continues preparing his squad for the first group-stage match of the CAF Champions League against Petro Atlético, Simba’s General Manager Dimitar Pantev has emphasized player unity and cooperation, while promising to keep giving every player an opportunity based on their effort in training.
Pantev said Simba’s main weapon is the unity and teamwork that begins with the players, the technical bench, the leadership, and the fans.
He stated that to him, no player has a bigger name than another; each one will be used according to the effort they show on the training ground.
“We do not give playing time based on the size of a player’s name. What matters is his work performance, which will help the team achieve its goals. In short, no one has a guaranteed starting position in my squad.”
“Another thing we consider is the upcoming match and the type of players it requires to ensure the team secures three points. Therefore, we will prepare the team according to the real plan and nothing else.”
“Everyone you see in the team shares one goal—fighting for the Simba badge and setting an example of excellence in the domestic league and CAF competitions. That is why we are creating competition that will make it easier to execute our plans in every match,” Pantev said.
The Bulgarian coach has quickly become popular among the players, many of whom enjoy his work on the training ground.
Pantev has given himself time and space to study each player so he can build a strong team based on the qualities of each individual.
“It is important for coaches to know each player’s abilities and how to help them reach their best, building them mentally so they can pursue their dreams realistically. That is why at Simba we are building together,” Pantev added.
