As midfielder Morice Abraham continues to shine for Simba, former head coach Fadlu Davids has openly admitted that the club made one of its best moves this season by signing the talented youngster.
Morice, who previously played for RFK Novi in Serbia, joined Simba this season under the guidance of Fadlu before the coach left to take charge of Raja Casablanca in Morocco.
Now coaching Raja CA, Fadlu has described Morice as a rare talent that Simba must protect and nurture, saying he possesses exceptional footballing ability — the main reason he pushed for his signing.
Fadlu revealed that it didn’t take long for him to recognize Morice’s potential, as the midfielder impressed him in just one training session.
“I only needed one training session with Morice after inviting him — he immediately showed the quality that convinced me he was the kind of midfielder I wanted Simba to sign. He’s a gifted player,” said Fadlu.
“Although he’s still young, he has great talent and can help Simba both now and in the future. His age is an advantage for the club and even for the national team, Taifa Stars,” Fadlu was quoted as saying by Mwanaspoti.
Morice has quickly become a fan favorite at Simba, impressing supporters with his skill, confidence, and creativity. Many believe that with consistent playing time, he has the potential to become one of the team’s key players this season.
