Simba’s Media and Communication Manager Ahmed Ali has stressed that despite their 3–0 win over Nsingizini Hotspurs in the first leg of the CAF Champions League qualifying round, they cannot “take the return leg lightly.”
Ahmed said the responsibility of Simba fans is to show up in large numbers on Sunday to fill the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium and enjoy the team’s display.
The spokesperson pointed out that Simba will approach the game as a fresh match without considering the previous result.
“In our next game on October 26 we enter the pitch with the score at nil–nil, there will be absolutely no complacency in this very important match for us to secure a good result.”
“Wanasimba, turn out in big numbers and cheer for our team. We have set friendly ticket prices that allow you to enter the stadium with confidence and push your team into the group stage,” Ahmed said.
Simba returned to training two days ago to finalize preparations for the match, in which the Reds need a win or even a draw to reach the group stage.
