Former Simba SC Chief Scout, Mels Daalder, has been appointed by R6 International Sports Agency and will now focus on global talent identification and recruitment on behalf of the U.S.-based organization.
Daalder served as Simba’s Chief Scout for two years, having joined the Msimbazi Reds on May 25, 2023, following his appointment by the club’s investor, billionaire Mohammed Dewji, commonly known as “Mo.”
He announced his departure from Simba a few weeks ago, citing a lack of alignment with the club’s current management structure as the reason for stepping down.
In his new role at R6 International Sports Agency, Daalder will be responsible for scouting and identifying football talent across various regions worldwide.
His duties will also include monitoring young players in academies, schools, and lower-tier clubs, as well as utilizing social media, video analysis, and data tools to assess individual players’ abilities — similar to his methods during his tenure at Simba.
