Simba fans are eagerly waiting to finally see attacking midfielder Mohamed Bajaber in action, as the Kenyan playmaker is yet to make his debut for the Msimbazi Reds since joining from Police FC (Kenya).
Bajaber had been sidelined for several weeks after sustaining a thigh injury during Simba’s pre-season camp in Egypt.
The midfielder, who was still recovering from a similar injury when he signed for Simba, reportedly aggravated the problem, forcing him to restart his rehabilitation and stay out for about six weeks.
Good news for Simba fans is that Bajaber has now resumed light training — a clear sign that he is close to full fitness and a return to action.
There’s a strong possibility that the creative midfielder could make his much-awaited debut after the upcoming FIFA international break.
Bajaber’s return will boost Simba’s attacking creativity, as he can operate both as a number 10 and on the wings, giving coach Dimitar Pantev more tactical options.
