Former Gaborone United coach, Dimitar Pantev, has officially been handed the reins at Simba SC, replacing Fadlu Davids, it has been confirmed.
Reports indicate that Simba have already reached a personal agreement with Pantev and his former club Gaborone United, with the Tanzanian giants paying the release clause to terminate his contract.
According to renowned Ghanaian journalist Micky Junior, Pantev is expected to arrive in Tanzania tomorrow, where he will sign a two-year contract that will keep him at Msimbazi until 2027.
The Bulgarian coach will be accompanied by only one assistant coach, while the rest of the technical staff at Simba will remain in place.
Pantev will have no time to waste, as he is set to begin preparations on Monday ahead of the CAF Champions League first-round first-leg clash against Nsingizini Hotspurs of Eswatini, scheduled between October 16–18.
Speculation about Pantev joining Simba had begun to circulate on social media in recent days, and the move has now been made official by the club.
