Simba SC continue to collect maximum points in the NBC Premier League after defeating Namungo FC 3-0 in a match played at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium today.
Coach Suleiman Matola’s boys were in fiery form compared to their previous outing in the CAF Champions League against Gaborone United.
Carabou Chamou opened the scoring late in the first half, before Rushine De Reuck and Suleiman Mwalimu added two more in the second half.
De Reuck has now scored in back-to-back league matches, emerging as Simba’s leading scorer. Interestingly, Simba’s defense has been prolific—netting three of the team’s six goals so far this season.
This is Simba’s second consecutive win, a result that takes them to the top of the table with 6 points.
Impressively, the Reds of Msimbazi have already netted six goals in two games without conceding any.
