Simba SC are today putting the finishing touches on their preparations for the second leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round, where they will host Botswana’s Gaborone United tomorrow, Sunday, at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.
The match, scheduled for 4:00 p.m. East Africa Time, will be played behind closed doors as Simba serve a one-match ban without fans in attendance.
Simba head into the tie with the advantage of a 1-0 win from the first leg in Gaborone, Botswana. This result puts them in a favorable position, needing either a win or a draw to advance to the first round of the competition.
Tomorrow’s clash will also mark the first match for interim head coach Hemed Suleiman “Morocco,” who has been handed the reins following the departure of former head coach Fadlu Davids, now with Raja Casablanca of Morocco.
