After a crucial 1-0 away victory against Gaborone United in the first leg of the CAF Champions League preliminary round, Simba have now shifted their focus to the NBC Premier League action.
Simba will play their first match of the 2025/26 season on Thursday, September 25, against Fountain Gate at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
Initially, Simba had chosen to use the KMC Complex as their home ground, but following recommendations from the technical bench, it has been officially confirmed that the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium will serve as their home venue for league matches, the FA Cup, and the Champions League.
This marks another season in which Simba are determined to fight for the league title, with their strategy being to start strong by securing a win against Fountain Gate on Thursday.
The team returned yesterday from Botswana, and players are expected to enter camp tomorrow, Tuesday, to prepare for the upcoming match.
After facing Fountain Gate, Simba will turn their attention back to the Champions League, where they will host Gaborone United in the return leg at the Mkapa Stadium on Sunday, September 28.
