Despite widespread speculation about the possible departure of Simba head coach Fadlu Davids, the club’s Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ali, has urged members and fans to remain calm while awaiting an official statement from the management.
Ahmed reassured the Simba faithful that, regardless of the outcome, nothing will destabilize the club and the Reds of Msimbazi will continue moving forward strongly.
He also called on fans to ignore misleading reports aimed at creating division at a time when unity is most needed.
Through his social media page, Ahmed wrote:
“Let us remain patient as we await accurate and official communication from our leaders. What I can assure you is that nothing will break down or set us back as a club. We are moving forward, stronger and better.”
“At this moment, many narratives will emerge, with people trying to push their agendas to create panic within our club. But our ship is steady, it has not wavered or shaken—we continue on our journey to success.”
The Simba squad returned yesterday from Botswana, where they secured a vital 1-0 away victory against Gaborone United in the CAF Champions League preliminary round first leg. According to Ahmed, the players have been given a two-day break and will return to camp on Tuesday to begin preparations for their next NBC Premier League clash against Fountain Gate on Thursday, September 25, at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
