Simba SC’s Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ali, has urged the club’s members and fans to ignore social media rumors claiming that the club has parted ways with Head Coach Fadlu Davids.
Ahmed stated that the reports are baseless and should be disregarded, as they were created with the intention of destabilizing Simba at this crucial time ahead of their CAF Champions League match against Gaborone United tomorrow.
He confirmed that Fadlu is with the team in Botswana, continuing his duties in preparing the squad for the game.
“Reports about Coach Fadlu Davids leaving Simba or parting ways with the club are pure fabrication. Coach Fadlu is here in Francistown, Botswana, overseeing training sessions with the players,” said Ahmed.
“The rumors suggesting Fadlu has left Simba are false and are simply an attempt to disrupt our camp and our plans ahead of the upcoming match.”
“At Simba, we have no doubts about Coach Fadlu, and we have never considered parting ways with him, especially at this time. He has done a lot of good for the club, and we still believe he can achieve even greater success with the team.”
“Losing the derby match, which many have used as the basis for these claims, is not something we as management view as a failure by the coach. We see it as mistakes that happened, which our opponents capitalized on to get the win. We’ve moved past that match, and now our focus is fully on the CAF Champions League game on Saturday,” he added.
