Despite losing the Community Shield clash against Yanga yesterday, Simba SC’s Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ali, has reassured fans that the club remains firmly on the right track for the new season.
Ahmed noted that the match gave a clear picture of what Simba supporters should expect in the coming campaign.
Through his social media account, Ahmed shared the following message:
"Losing never feels good, and the pain of defeat is something no one can ever get used to—especially when it comes against your greatest rival, and repeatedly so.
But from today’s match, we have every reason to be proud of our team and to congratulate our players for the high level of quality they displayed.
It’s been a long time since we played at such a strong level. The first 45 minutes alone could have restored our pride, but luck was not on our side.
Even though we lost this game, it has given us a clear picture of the kind of season that lies ahead.
Let me just say—we are heading for a great season, considering the squad we now have. Tears may blur the vision, so perhaps my words won’t make sense today, but let’s remain patient. This time, we have a team that will achieve great things, Insha’Allah.
Our recruitment was excellent, and our new signings have already shown impressive quality. I ask my fellow Wana Simba to stay calm and prepare to begin the season with strength. What we have lost is small compared to the big victories ahead of us."
