Simba captain Shomari Kapombe has said that every player is ready for the Community Shield match against Yanga, scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
Kapombe emphasized that they understand the importance of the fixture, noting that the technical bench has prepared the right tactics to ensure they emerge victorious.
“On behalf of the players, we are ready for this big match. We believe it will be a good moment for us because we have prepared well and have been given the right tactics to make sure each player gives his best,” Kapombe said.
He added that they are fully aware of the difficulty of the match, especially since they are facing a Yanga side with a strong record in recent encounters.
“We know Yanga is a good team, and we have already received instructions from the coach on how to handle them,” he explained.
“We know we lost the previous matches against them, but this is a season-opening and championship game. We have prepared ourselves to get a good result and bring joy to our fans,” he added.
