Simba head coach Fadlu Davids has eased fans’ concerns ahead of the Community Shield match against Yanga, stating that his squad will feature significant tactical changes compared to the lineup that faced Gor Mahia.
After concluding the Simba Day festival with a 2-0 victory over Gor Mahia, Simba returned to camp to prepare for the anticipated match tomorrow, Tuesday, at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
Fadlu acknowledged that the game will not be easy, as it is a derby against a strong opponent.
“We are continuing our preparations for the Community Shield match. I believe we will be well-prepared, and we are making the right preparations for this game,” he said.
“I know that many Simba fans are eager to see us perform well in this match and in all the competitions ahead to achieve the club’s goals.”
“Simba is a big team. After the significant team-building work we did last season, I believe this season we are ready to compete,” Fadlu added.
This will be Fadlu’s fourth match against Yanga, having lost the previous three encounters. Therefore, tomorrow’s game carries special significance for both him and the technical bench.
