Simba wrapped up the Simba Day celebrations with a 2-0 win over Gor Mahia in a match played at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
The game served as an opportunity for the “Wanamsimbazi” to see their new signings and preparations ahead of the 2025/26 competition season.
Abdulrazak Hamza opened the scoring early in the first half, finishing off a cross from Jean Charles Ahoua, while second-half substitute Steven Mukwala netted the second goal from a delivery by Ladark Chasambi.
You could say Simba started the match cautiously in the first half, but showed improvement in midfield through Naby Camara, while Rushine De Rock and Anthony Mligo stood out in defense.
Speaking after the game, Simba head coach Fadlu Davids expressed his satisfaction with his players’ performance, emphasizing that today’s match was used strategically — giving every player a chance in order to assess the best squad combinations for upcoming competitive fixtures.
