If you thought Simba SC had wrapped up their transfer business this window, think again. The Msimbazi Reds are still active, preparing to unveil new signings while also exploring the possibility of adding another foreign star to their squad.
Today, Simba are expected to announce the arrivals of two domestic talents from JKT Tanzania β defender Wilson Nangu and goalkeeper Yacoub Suleiman. Both players have already been officially released by their former club and are now awaiting formal introduction to the Simba family.
With the transfer window set to close on September 7, the Tanzanian giants are also pushing hard to secure the services of Ugandan attacking midfielder Alan Okello. The 24-year-old, who scored three goals for Uganda at the 2024 CHAN tournament, still has one year left on his contract with Vipers SC.
Simba are weighing up the option of buying out Okelloβs contract, although negotiations have proven difficult as Vipers continue to demand a hefty fee. Should the deal go through, Simba would be forced to release one of their current foreign players, with winger Joshua Mutale rumored to be the most likely candidate to make way.
