Young Simba striker Valentino Mashaka is on the verge of joining JKT Tanzania, it has been revealed.
Mashaka, who joined Simba last season from Geita Gold, will be switching places with two JKT Tanzania players — goalkeeper Yacoub Suleiman and defender Wilson Nangu — who are set to move to Simba.
Mashaka, who scored three goals for Simba in last season’s NBC Premier League, is expected to join the army side on loan until the end of the season.
It is also reported that JKT Tanzania have expressed interest in two other Simba players: winger Ladark Chasambi and right-back David Kameta ‘Duchu’.
However, during pre-season in Egypt, Simba head coach Fadlu Davids used those players in his defensive setup on the right side.
It remains possible that Fadlu will continue to rely on them in the upcoming season to provide cover and support for Shomari Kapombe in that position.
