It is official — Simba SC have confirmed that Kenyan giants Gor Mahia will grace East and Central Africa’s biggest football and entertainment festival, **SIMBA DAY**.
Simba’s Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ali, announced that Gor Mahia have been invited for the event scheduled for September 10 at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
“We have invited Gor Mahia to our Simba Day. We faced challenges in securing a team because most leagues have already started and many clubs are engaged in competitions,” said Ahmed.
“But finally, we have secured Gor Mahia, one of the oldest and most historic clubs in Kenya and East Africa as a whole.”
“Gor Mahia also command a huge fan base in Kenya, so inviting them to this event helps us expand our reach across the region,” he added.
The Simba squad has already returned to Tanzania from Egypt after completing four weeks of pre-season training.
The club will now have about a week to finalize preparations ahead of the big festival.
