Simba SC have concluded their pre-season camp in Egypt, with the team expected to return home today to wrap up the final phase of preparations.
Head coach Fadlu Davids has had nearly four weeks to prepare his squad, with the camp beginning in Ismailia before concluding in Cairo.
Most of the players have benefited from full preparations, except for a few who arrived late due to visa challenges, while midfielder Neo Maema joined after completing national team duties with South Africa at the 2024 CHAN tournament.
After returning home, Simba will have another week to prepare before hosting the annual Simba Day celebrations on September 10.
The Reds will then have only a few more days to get ready for the Community Shield clash against rivals Yanga, which is scheduled for September 16.
After that, Simba will travel to Botswana for the first leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary round tie against Gaborone United, set for September 20.
