Before the start of the Premier League season, the CAF Champions League preliminary round campaign will begin, with the first-leg matches scheduled to kick off on September 19.
Simba will start away against Botswana Premier League champions Gaborone United, with the first leg set for September 20.
The return leg will be played a week later at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium.
The schedule is tricky for Simba, as on September 16 they face Yanga in the Community Shield before having to travel to Botswana immediately after that match.
There are reports suggesting that the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) may consider rescheduling the Community Shield match to allow both Simba and Yanga enough preparation time for their CAF Champions League preliminary ties.
Yanga has a slight advantage, as they will play their first-leg match on September 21 in Angola.
