Simba SC is set to secure the services of two stars, Yakoub Suleiman and defender Wilson Nangu, from JKT Tanzania after reaching an agreement, it has been revealed.
Following weeks of negotiations between Simba officials and their counterparts at JKT Tanzania, the two players will join Simba in a transfer deal that involves both cash and players.
JKT Tanzania placed a condition on Simba for releasing Nangu and Yakoub — the club was required to pay a transfer fee and loan out three players: David Kameta 'Duchu', Awesu Awesu, and Valentino Mashaka.
Simba’s head coach, Fadlu Davids, appears to have already moved on from those players in his plans. For instance, in the right-back position usually occupied by Duchu, Fadlu has been using Ladark Chasambi during Simba’s friendly matches in Egypt.
JKT Tanzania is now waiting for those conditions to be finalized before officially allowing the players to join Simba.
"Simba had discussions with JKU, which is Yakoub’s military employer, but they were informed that a payment had to be made for the player. JKU and JKT Tanzania, who had the goalkeeper last season with 10 clean sheets, now hold the responsibility of approving his release," a source told Mwanaspoti.
"As for Nangu, who has a contract running until 2028, one of the conditions is for Simba to release their players on loan. Therefore, JKT Tanzania still needs to approve his departure."
