Yesterday, Simba SC kicked off their final week of pre-season training in Cairo, marking the fourth week since the team arrived in Egypt, initially setting base in the city of Ismailia.
According to Simba’s team manager, Abbas Ally, the squad resumed training yesterday following a one-day break.
Newly unveiled attacking midfielder, Neo Maema, joined his teammates in training after his arrival. Maema landed in Egypt the day before, having completed his duties with the South African national team, which was eliminated in the quarter-final stages of the 2024 CHAN tournament.
Other players who had been on international duty are expected to rejoin the team once they are back in Dar es Salaam.
