The captain of South Africa’s national team at the CHAN 2024 tournament, Neo Maema, has already landed in Cairo to join Simba SC’s training camp, it has been confirmed.
Maema left Mamelodi Sundowns as a free agent following a mutual agreement after serving the club for four seasons.
He wasted no time after South Africa was eliminated from the CHAN tournament, immediately flying in to begin work with his new club.
Simba fans are eagerly awaiting the official unveiling of the attacking midfielder — it’s only a matter of time.
During the CHAN competition, Maema scored one goal and contributed to the creation of two more.
The talented left-footer can be deployed either as a winger or as an attacking midfielder in the number 10 role.
