Simba Head Coach Fadlu Davids has made major improvements to his squad during this transfer window, thanks to the special support of the club’s Honorary President, billionaire Mohammed Dewji ‘Mo’, who has ensured that Fadlu gets every player he requested.
After the signing of Naby Camara, it seemed that Simba had closed their foreign signings, but they are not yet done with local players.
Reports from within the club’s leadership have revealed that Simba could finalize their transfer business with four domestic stars.
Striker Selemani Mwalimu, who plays for Wydad Athletic, has already agreed a deal with Simba and will join the Msimbazi Reds on a one-season loan.
Additionally, Simba have successfully secured two players from JKT Tanzania: goalkeeper Yacoub Suleiman and defender Wilson Nangu, both of whom are part of the Tanzania national team ‘Taifa Stars’ competing in the 2024 CHAN tournament.
Simba have been in negotiations with JKT Tanzania for weeks regarding these players, with the latest updates confirming that an agreement has been reached for their transfers.
Earlier this week, Simba also opened talks with KMC to sign midfielder Ahmed Pipino, and it is reported that a deal has been agreed for the player, who is also in the Taifa Stars squad.
Pipino is expected to strengthen the defensive midfield department, which already includes players such as Yusuph Kagoma, Allasane Kante, Mzamiru Yassin, and Naby Camara, who can also operate as a left-back.
