Yesterday, Simba SC officially unveiled the signing of Guinea international Naby Camara, who joins the club on a two-year contract.
His ability to play in multiple positions has impressed head coach Fadlu Davids, who plans to deploy him based on the needs of each match.
Initially, Simba had been searching for a foreign left-back, but that plan was dropped following Nabyβs arrival. Congolese defender Hernest Malonga, who had been training with the squad, will no longer be signed, as Naby β a left-footed player β is fully capable of covering the left-back role.
During his time at CS Sfaxien, Naby was used as a defensive midfielder and at times pushed forward to play as a number 8 or number 10.
He can also operate as a winger on both the left and right flanks. However, given Simbaβs current needs, he is expected to feature primarily as a left-back and midfielder.
