New Simba SC attacking midfielder Neo Maema led South Africa to a 2-1 victory over Guinea in the ongoing CHAN tournament at the Uganda venue.
Maema scored South Africa’s opening goal and later played a key role in the second, netted by Thabiso Khulumela in the second half.
The midfielder featured for 84 minutes, registering 44 touches, taking one shot on target—which resulted in his goal—and helping secure the win for Bafana Bafana.
South Africa have now moved up to second place in Group C with four points from two matches, level on points with leaders Algeria but trailing on goal difference.
