Kenyan international star Mohamed Bajaber is among the Simba SC players currently in Egypt for pre-season training.
Bajaber, who was part of the Kenyan national team ‘Harambee Stars’ participating in the CHAN tournament, had to leave early to join Simba after the Reds of Msimbazi completed his signing.
Bajaber revealed that he did not think twice about joining Simba when he received a call from head coach Fadlu Davids.
“I was in the national team camp nursing an injury, and I was weighing whether to play in CHAN or go to Simba. Since the Simba offer was a big opportunity, I decided to skip CHAN and come to Simba,” he said.
“That day I didn’t sleep at all. I spent the whole night thinking alone in my room. I couldn’t sleep because Simba is a big club, and it’s a huge opportunity for me.”
“I have never played in front of many fans except for one national team match against Gambia, so I was really excited because I want to play for a club with a massive fan base. It’s such a great feeling to make many fans happy,” Bajaber added.
