Veteran midfielder Mzamiru Yassin says the team has had a productive pre-season so far in Ismailia, Egypt.
Mzamiru is among the players who arrived in Ismailia last week, and today marks one week since the preparations began.
"I thank Almighty God that we arrived safely in Egypt. The preparations are going well—everyone is working hard and showing their abilities to the coach. So I can say things are going very smoothly."
"As local players, we always make an effort to warmly welcome our foreign teammates. They’ve also embraced that spirit, and we’re training well together under the coach’s guidance."
"It’s been a full week since we arrived, and everything is progressing well. I believe when the season starts, we’ll have a strong beginning."
"I know the season won’t be easy, but based on the kind of preparations we’re doing here, I believe we’ll perform well," said Mzamiru.
Mzamiru is currently the most senior player in Simba’s squad in Egypt, having been part of the Msimbazi Reds for nearly 10 years.
