Simba head coach Fadlu Davids has not closed the transfer window yet, as he aims to strengthen specific areas within his squad.
Sources within Simba’s management have revealed that the South African coach is seeking to add another defensive midfielder to bolster the team’s midfield line.
Simba is actively scouting talent during the ongoing CHAN tournament, held across Dar es Salaam, Zanzibar, Nairobi, and Kampala, in search of potential signings. This move may result in the club parting ways with another foreign player.
One player reportedly at risk is Zambian winger Joshua Mutale, whose future at Msimbazi remains uncertain. The club may mutually agree to terminate his contract to free up space for a new defensive midfielder.
In this window, Simba has already signed foreign players including Rushine De Reuck, Neo Maema, Jonathan Sowah, Alassane Kante, and Mohammed Bajaber.
The remaining foreign players from last season are Moussa Camara, Carabou Chamou, Joshua Mutale, Jean Charles Ahoua, Steven Mukwala, Lionel Ateba, and Elie Mpanzu.
Players who have been released include Fabrice Ngoma, Deborah Mavambo, Valentine Nouma, Augustine Okejepha, and Che Malone Fondoh.
