Simba head coach Fadlu Davids has stated that the club's signings during this transfer window have focused on experienced players who are ready to compete in the CAF Champions League.
Simba is returning to the CAF Champions League next season, with the preliminary round draw expected to take place on August 9 in Dar es Salaam.
Fadlu noted that last season his role was to build the team, and he achieved that goal by guiding the relatively young squad to the final of the CAF Confederation Cup and finishing second in the league standings.
"Last season we had different objectives. This coming season we have specific goals and we’re working in a structured way to strengthen our squad," he said.
"We needed top players with CAF Champions League experience to bring more experience and competitiveness to our team," Fadlu added.
In this window, Simba has added experienced players such as central defender Rushine De Reuck and attacking midfielder Neo Maema, both from Mamelodi Sundowns.
Simba has also signed striker Jonathan Sowah, who previously played for Medeama FC in Ghana before joining Singida BS.
Midfielder Alassane Kante from Senegal has also been signed, coming from one of Africa's most competitive leagues in Tunisia.
The Msimbazi Reds have further bolstered their squad with promising talents such as Anthony Mligo, Morice Abraham, Mohammed Bajaber, and Hussein Semfuko.
