Yesterday, Simba unveiled the signing of attacking midfielder and football maestro Mohammed Bajaber, who joins the Msimbazi giants from Kenya’s Police FC.
Bajaber is the kind of player fans love due to his creativity and skill with the ball at his feet.
He is a winger with exceptional ability and techniques to outmaneuver opposing defenders. While Simba already has Elie Mpanzu, Coach Fadlu Davids has added Bajaber—whose main difference from Mpanzu is his speed, and he brings a bit of flair or 'kachumbari' to his playing style.
Mohammed Bajaber was born on March 15, 2003, and joins Simba after shining at Kenya Police FC and for the Kenyan national team, the Harambee Stars.
Bajaber’s football journey began at Starfield Academy in Parklands, Nairobi. In August 2021, he earned a trial opportunity with Danish top-tier club FC Midtjylland.
Although he was not officially signed, the experience provided him with valuable knowledge and motivation. In February 2022, he joined Nairobi City Stars on a short-term loan from Starfield Academy.
He made his Kenyan Premier League debut on May 15, 2022, against Tusker FC, and scored his first goal on March 16, 2023, against Wazito FC.
During the 2023–2024 season, Bajaber impressed with six goals and four assists, establishing himself as a creative midfielder.
In February 2025, he moved to Kenya Police FC, where he made an instant impact, scoring three goals in his first three matches. He helped the team clinch the Premier League title, finishing the season with nine goals and five assists.
Before joining Simba, Bajaber was part of the Harambee Stars squad for the CHAN tournament but was dropped following his move, as he no longer qualified as a local-based player.
Bajaber’s signing is expected to boost creativity and efficiency in Simba’s attacking lineup.
