Major League Soccer (MLS) side Nashville SC is reportedly considering making an offer to Tanzanian giants Simba SC to sign attacking midfielder Kibu Denis, sources have revealed.
Kibu has been on trial with the American club for approximately three weeks. After impressing during the first two weeks, Nashville extended his stay by another week to further assess his performance.
Nashville SC, currently sitting second in the Eastern Conference of MLS, has shown strong interest in Kibu following his promising display during the trials.
The club invited several international players for trials, which were held with their second team. Initially, five players were involved; after two weeks, three were released, leaving Kibu and a Brazilian player as the final two candidates given extended trials.
Simba SC is reportedly open to allowing Kibu to leave, but they are awaiting an official offer from Nashville before making a final decision.
Kibu is said to prioritize moving to the United States, largely due to his desire to reunite with his family, who already reside there.
