Despite the apparent silence among its supporters, the truth is that Simba SC is in the final stages of completing its transfer business before the team officially begins preparations for the new Tanzanian Premier League season.
According to the official pre-season schedule, players are expected to report to Dar es Salaam this week, where they will undergo medical examinations on Friday before officially starting preparations for the new season.
Reliable reports reveal that Simba’s Honorary President, Mohamed Dewji ‘Mo’, has released significant funds to facilitate player signings, contrary to circulating rumors suggesting he had distanced himself from this season’s activities. So far, Simba has completed the signings of several players, both local and foreign.
However, all transfer processes within Simba this season have been highly confidential. It is reported that only a very small group of people are directly involved, making it difficult even for some board members to access accurate information.
"The way things are at Msimbazi, transfers are being handled with great secrecy. It's hard to get any information, even some board members lack full details, but the signings are progressing quietly," revealed a source within the club.
One board member confirmed that this season’s recruitment process is being managed solely by three committee members together with the head coach, who have been entrusted to handle and complete all transfer procedures.
"Three committee members along with the coach are managing the process. They alone know what’s happening and are finalizing negotiations to ensure everything is completed on time," the member confirmed.
According to credible sources, Simba has already finalized the signings of approximately five foreign players, and by Friday, it is expected that over 90% of the transfer business will be complete.
For now, Msimbazi Reds fans are eagerly awaiting the unveiling of the new players, as club leaders believe this secrecy will help Simba secure more effective signings, free from external pressure or influence.
