Simba attacking midfielder Joshua Mutale remains in Coach Fadlu Davids' plans and will likely get another chance to prove his quality in the upcoming season.
His first season with Simba was marked by mixed periods of joy and disappointment.
After a slow start, Mutale began to shine towards the end of the season, convincing Fadlu to restore him to the starting lineup ahead of Kibu Denis.
Simba Board Member Crescentius Magori stated that Mutale was among the players the club had high hopes for last season, though things didn’t go as expected.
"Mutale and even Deborah Mavambo performed very well at their previous clubs, and during pre-season, we saw them as players who would be a great help to Simba."
"But what happened didn’t meet our expectations. Perhaps the challenge of adapting to a new league contributed to not seeing the quality we expected from them, but they are good players," said Magori.
While Mutale has secured his place at Msimbazi for now, the situation may be different for Mavambo, who faces uncertainty regarding his future at the club.
