After the deal to sign Coulibaly Souleymane fell through following a last-minute lucrative offer from Sweden, Simba is continuing its search for another central defender.
It is reported that the Msimbazi Reds have now turned to Zambia in pursuit of Nigerian international defender Denis Nya, who played for Zesco United.
Nya has completed his contract with Zesco United and is open to listening to an offer from Simba, after talks to renew his deal with Zesco broke down.
During his last season with Zesco United, Nya won the clubβs Player of the Season award, as voted by the teamβs fans.
Simba is determined to bolster their central defense amid indications they may part ways with Cameroonian defender Che Fondoh Malone, whose contract has expired.
Nya has been called up several times to represent the Nigerian national team. Before joining Zesco United, he played for Nigerian clubs Akwa United and Plateau United.
