As the new season of the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup approaches, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced that the competitions for the 2025/26 season will begin in September.
This schedule adjustment has been caused by the upcoming CHAN tournament, which will be held in August across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
Simba SC and Yanga SC will represent Tanzania in the Champions League, while Azam FC and Singida BS will compete in the Confederation Cup.
Simba is among five top clubs that will not take part in the first preliminary round of the competition.
