Simba Sports Club’s Media and Communications Manager, Ahmed Ali, has said that the Board of Directors' meeting held yesterday is set to strengthen the "Ubaya Ubwela" momentum.
Ahmed, who coined the phrase "Ubaya Ubwela" last season, stated that the slogan nearly bore fruit, as Simba narrowly missed out on two trophies — the CAF Confederation Cup final and the decisive Premier League match against Yanga.
Ahmed boasted that the focus of the upcoming transfer window will be to further intensify "Ubaya Ubwela" in order to ensure next season's goals are achieved.
"After the club bosses met yesterday, we should prepare for big moves in the transfer window. The force of ‘Ubaya Ubwela’ that we saw last season is going to be given more POWER," declared Ahmed.
After coach Fadlu Davids built the team last season, this coming season he is set to refine it further for stronger competition.
With the team-building phase completed, his main responsibility in the upcoming season is to bring trophies to Msimbazi.
The kind of signings Simba will make are expected to align with the club’s ambitious objectives of winning major trophies.
